Local shops ... There is a small shopping precinct where you can find a supermarket, pharmacy, café - bar as well as a newsagents. A large retail park is to be found about 2 - 3 kilometres away where you can buy almost anything from a light shade to a self - service cafeteria which sells good quality food at reasonable prices. For those special occasions the Beau Rivage restaurant provides high Michelin 3 Star quality for that well remembered occasion. Further afield .... There is a myriad of bars and superb restaurants to be found along the promenade into Les Sables d'Olonne - a walk of about 20 minutes.

Ideal for teenagers there is an Institute of Oceanic Sports just 200 metres away. Here bookings can be made for lessons in how to: sail, surf and jet ski. |

Fishing is also available on day ticket. For younger children there is the local zoo. More information on the zoo can be found here At Tallimont St Hilaire there is a golf course which is about 7 kilometres away. A visit to Le Puy du Fou completes the ideal holiday. |

At night During the summer each night along the promenade there are open air shows with street artists and musicians - there is a Casino along with a disco in Les Sables itself.
